What a difference a tarmac road makes it gives a whole new feel to the site.

We completed the scaffold, and the crane lift on Wednesday went like clock work with the off loading and installation of the ground floor wall panels erected and braced in the day. The rest of the week we completed the installation including the window surrounds and installing fire socks.

Ready for the 1st floor panels to be installed next Monday.

The weather was kind to us last week, enabling us to pour the concrete slabs on Wednesday and Thursday.  The rain held off until we floated the floors and the concrete had set. We have commenced with the timber frame wall plates which will be ongoing this week.

We are shaping up the entrance haul road ready to receive the base course of tarmac, this will transform the site.

Today we will stone up the perimeter of block 1 (the larger block) to commence the scaffolding to the perimeter on Tuesday, leading up to the installation of the timber frame next week.

The week ending 3 June, we commenced with the gas proof membrane and perimeter / internal wall plinth blocks for the timber frame on block 1.  We also completed the substructure blockwork to block 2, ready for the installation of the block and beam.

Last week saw the block and beam installation, on schedule, with the crane positioned on the road lay-by again.

The weather turned again, which saw us fighting the elements proceeding with the gas proof membrane and the plinth blockwork to block 1.

This week saw us achieve our target of the installation of the Block and Beam to Block 1. To achieve this we repositioned the crane in the lay-by outside our site boundary. This meant a temporary traffic management system and a tight delivery schedule was introduced, this process went like clockwork. We also installed the internal drainage to Block 2. So next week we can proceed with the Gas Proof Membrane and Internal Walls.
