This week saw us concentrating on getting the block 1 water tight.  First installing the fire socks and eaves ventilation, continuing with the soffits and fascias then felt and battening the roof, enabling us to load the roof with roof tiles.  We also commenced with the installation of the windows. With all this achieved we can put our feet up this weekend and enjoy the opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympic games!

Last week saw another busy week, with 3 days of crane lifts.  Monday saw us erecting wall panels and lifting the trusses off, then back on the built wall panels to plots 2, 4, 6 and 8.  The process was repeated on Tuesday to plots 10, 12 and 14.  This saw block 1 trusses complete.

On Thursday block 2 trusses were lifted into place.  Scaffolders then erected the edge protection to the gable end, at the same time we netted the roof joists ready for the roof covering on block 1 on Monday.  With the added pressure of the crane costs it all went like clockwork.  A good weeks' effort by all !
